Madefrigor’s green approach, in accordance with the policies aimed at eliminating HFC refrigerants with a high GWP, promotes the use of natural refrigerants, particularly CO2 (R-744), for the industrial sector and large-scale distribution.
We produce refrigeration units and chillers for all sectors and with all refrigerants, including CO2 industrial refrigeration systems: CO2 boosters, CO2/glycol cascade systems, CO2 boosters for low temperatures, and CO2 direct expansion cold rooms. In our workshop, we also provide support for carbon dioxide systems with our scheduled maintenance service, and keep the system log books in accordance with the law.

When designing and building industrial refrigeration systems, Madefrigor always takes the customer’s specific needs into account to ensure high performance and low energy consumption. Our custom products are therefore technologically innovative, prioritising refrigerants with a low environmental impact, such as CO2.
Today, the economic investment required for a CO2 system is equivalent to that of a traditional system. The price difference arises from the need for high pressure equipment, such as pipes, compressors, exchangers, etc. However, a 60% reduction of the copper for the pipes and the reduced cost of carbon dioxide compared to other refrigerants offers significant savings.

CO2 is an eco-friendly, non-flammable, non-explosive and non-hazardous natural refrigerant (R744).
