Building on the experience acquired over the past 50 years, Madefrigor has established itself as one of the most important companies in the design and construction of refrigeration and air conditioning systems for the agriculture and food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
We work on behalf of some of the biggest companies in Italy and around the world, offering custom technological solutions for a wide range of applications in the refrigeration industry, always paying attention to our customers’ specific needs. Our catalogue includes a wide range of refrigeration units, from 150 kW to 1200 kW, with temperatures reaching -40 °C; special liquid chillers with stainless steel or titanium exchangers suitable for salt solutions or diathermic oils, reaching MEG temperatures of -40 °C; and medium/low temperature two-stage CO2 boosters.

Safety and efficiency
At low temperatures (evaporation below -30 °C), the cascade system is used. In short, this solution consists of two refrigeration systems, each optimised for its own operating range, thermally connected in series by way of an intermediate exchanger, which represents the evaporator for the first system and the condenser for the second.
Cascade systems with ammonia/carbon dioxide in the circuit are perfectly suited to industrial refrigeration, as each of the two fluids operates in the optimal range. We are therefore able to eliminate the risks associated with working with ammonia, offering great advantages in terms of safety.
Ammonia
Ammonia (NH3) is the most suitable refrigerant gas for large refrigerated warehouses, because it is eco-friendly, economical, very efficient and has lower operating costs than other options.
Cold chain
Our systems, cold rooms and chillers—employed by food production and retail companies, logistics warehouses and order preparation platforms—help to maintain the cold chain.
Cold rooms
Refrigerated warehouses are made up of one or more cold rooms, kept at temperature by a centralised refrigerating system or by autonomous machines: freon or ammonia direct expansion cold rooms or CO2 direct expansion cold rooms.
Inside refrigerated warehouses, fabric diffusers ensure uniform air distribution.
